The Still Point and the Dance

by John Boulderstone

“At the still point of the turning world. Neither flesh nor fleshless;

Neither from nor towards; at the still point, there the dance is,

But neither arrest nor movement. And don't call it fixity,

Where past and future are gathered. Neither movement from nor towards,

Neither ascent nor decline. Except for the point, the still point,

There would be no dance, and there is only the dance.”

    -    TS Eliot

Introduction

Illness is the dance of symptoms around the still point of health.

This isn't just another alternative health book. It is more than that, it is a replacement health book. Described inside is a health system designed to replace failing Western medicine. It is also designed to show what is wrong with other materialistic health systems. Taking a medicine to remove a symptom totally ignores the fact that the symptom is your body trying to show you what you need to do to sort out your illness. Listening to what your body wants and fulfilling its needs will leave you healthy and happy.

Please keep in mind that I am an alternative health practitioner, not a doctor. Do not consider my advice to be the absolute truth, as it is solely my personal opinion based on forty years of clinical experience. One aspect of this experience is to encourage you to think for yourself and discover your truth.

My journey towards achieving good health and inner peace began at 21, during my university years. I realised that I often couldn’t control my thoughts, and they would run away with themselves, leaving me feeling powerless and out of control. To gain more control and understanding, I embraced daily meditation. After meditating for around twenty years, I came to understand the concept of life force, both within myself and in others. I discovered that I could sense when there was a disturbance in the flow of life force within another person. After a further ten years of exploration, I learned how to guide the other person towards clearing their distortions and healing from their problems and difficulties. This practice has been instrumental in revealing to me the things that cause illness. By reaching what I call a still point, I have come to understand what health is and where viruses, medicine, and doctors fit in. I have tried to explain all of this in my book. And I have discovered that you do not need thirty years of contemplation, you can learn the whole technique in about ten minutes.

After graduating from university, I pursued a career as a teacher before eventually becoming a homeopath and CranioSacral therapist. Through my work, I gradually came to understand how health truly operates, which was not in line with what I had previously been taught. I devoted my time, energy, money, and life to developing an exceptional healing technique called the Boulderstone Technique. In 2011, I wrote a book about it titled Living with Vitality, which is now over ten years old. This new book is an updated version that includes solutions to many more problems. I hope you will find it helpful.

I have not mentioned all the other people who have helped me on this path, the chief of whom is my wife, Katharine. Without her, this book wouldn't exist. Please also see the Acknowledgements at the end of the book.

Let the dance commence.
